    Poem Commentary

This poem I wrote bout a little boy that went missing in my area. Everyone came together to find him, and he was found in a canel dead. Now his mom and her boyfriend are sititng in jail for his murder. It is a very sad accident that has hit us in my area. If you want to know more you can research his name online. But I wrote this poem for Robert Manwill.

    Robert Manwill

    An innocent sweet little boy,

Lost in a world so large. As

We all join hand in hand in

Prayer that you are self and

Will be found still alive. As

The days and nights start to

    Become one, never seeming

    To end this horrible heartache

We all feel knowing that your

    Out there cold and scared.

But now our search for you

Has came to a tragic ending.

You are now safe and sound,

    With our heavenly father. While

    Your friends and family gather

Together to moan for you. A

    Community joins together to

    Keep your memory alive. A

Little soul, so sweet and innocent

    Taken, cause someone had

    To do something so horrible.

    Although you may be gone,

Your memory is not. A memory

That will not ever be forgotten.

A child who has brought a

    Community together, in more

Ways then anyone will ever be

Able to count. A son, brother,

    Grandson who will be dearly

    Missed.

    In the loving memory

    Of Robert Manwill,

    8 years old, Boise Idaho

    RIP Robert… we will never

    Forget you…

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.
