    Shoe Court

    You turn your glare
    upon me,
    I am cross-examined...
    I look down,
    to escape your tone...

    I study my shoes..
    the miles they've gone,
    a hole in my soul...

    the tear drops,
    upon my toe..

    It's journey
    from eye to shoe,
    a split second
    representing years..

Nice! Loved the juxtaposition! Very moving! Nicely written! Thanks!

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
