Silly Sally
Silly Sally
Sally savvy wore a mask
She’d play all day and “laugh, laugh, laugh”.
Sally would swing on the swings,
She’d play in the sand and make many things.
She could here the other children calling her names,
they would not play silly Sally’s games.
They pointed and giggled and taunted her name,
“Silly Sally, silly Sally with us you can’t play,
Silly Sally, silly Sally just go away”.
They’d turn up there noses and run off to play,
Sally just smiled and then turned away.
She slid down the slide when her mom called her name,
say goodbye to your friends, it’s time to come in.
Sally laughed and she giggled all the way home
But when she got there, she went to her room.
She sat on her bed, she took off the mask,
Her eyes they were full, a big teary mess.
Confined to her room, she thought and she said,
“I don’t know why they did what they did
But I know in my heart, they’ll do it again.
When I go out tomorrow, I’ll go with a grin,
Because the mask that I wear,
won’t let the bad in”.
