Poem Commentary

SOMEWHERE BETWEEN THE SHORES

Somewhere between soul's solitude and
Some lonesome windsongs,

Somewhere between Orpheus' lyre and
The Muses in Harmony,

We enter enchanting worlds,
Listening to the lyrics.

Spectra spin with a cosmic Spark:
The universal spiral dance;

We dance with the stars
Somewhere between Mercury and Mars.

Goddesses are gathering wool
In the clouds, spinning our visions,

Weaving the threads of our souls:
Tapestries of Destinies.

Celestial vessels careen between
Astral Virgins, King Neptune,

Mystic Captains navigate
The voyage of shoreless oceans:

Sailing Seas of Transcendence
Between the shores of our souls.

Thank you so much! I appreciate it! Love & Light, Cairene

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
