    WORDS THAT WERE NEVER SPOKEN

    Words That Were Never Spoken
Memories of the past kept seeping through
The words that were never spoken.
Upon wings of promises, she flew
Into fantasies only to have her heart broken.
Memories of the past kept seeping through
The words that were never spoken.
Upon wings of promises, she flew
Into fantasies only to have her heart broken.

Short and sorrowful. Regret is is the fuel most poets run on, I think. "WORDS THAT WERE NEVER SPOKEN" is terse and affecting.

Thank you so much for the comment! I really appreciate it! Aloha

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

    Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
