Somewhere in the Sun
I lie in wait of coming days.
I'm stranded here alone.
You die, I fear, while I am gone;
my absence is prolonged.
In life there is no two ways about it;
it’s black and white in life and death.
There is no grey matter here,
the emptiness is obvious.
The weeks will pass without a word,
until I find you missing.
Your absence, when you leave;
it will last forever.
My sorrow will be bottomless,
but I will not turn the bottle.
The turning point is life and death;
they are the things that change our lives.
You are dead and I alive.
The turning point has come and gone,
just like you, I fear.
The turning point is your death.
The turning point is what I fear.
I lie in wait of coming days.
I'm stranded here alone.
You die, I fear, while I am gone;
my absence is prolonged.
Now you are gone, and I, still alone.
Until I heal, I mourn.
A loss so great it cannot be stemmed,
like a flow of tears so forceful.
Alone. Now we are both alone.
Together we had laughter,
apart we have tears.
I never heard you laugh when it was insincere,
you never saw me cry when I didn't shed a tear.
You were there for me, when I needed help.
While you faded I was nowhere to be found.
I let you down and now my minds made up.
I'll go through hell to get to you,
I'll swim oceans wide.
I'll cross the desert, just to be by your side.
I lie in wait of coming days.
I'm stranded here alone.
You die, I fear, while I am gone;
my absence is prolonged.
Somehow, someway we'll be together.
Again and again we're sabotaged,
we won't take it anymore.
Through blood loss and death,
we'll fight our ways to each other's door.
And if perchance we meet along the way,
we'll set down our swords of battle.
And die in love's true embrace.
But now I wake, and find myself,
alone and stranded still.
I'll sing a song of loves true race,
a race where all belong.
Until then, my love,
I lie in wait of coming days...
