Stop It Now!

Poem Commentary

In STOP IT NOW, I've taken the legacy of a well-known celebrity, of our time; to give sound to these words. At a time when, to me, much of our world seems selfish, I can only hope, world-wide, "good reasoning" will prevail over "greed".

Stop It Now!

Stop It Now!

Stories are told,
I'm getting old.

It does not seem,
To bother me.

I'm just like you,
With much to do.

Today was spent,
As it was meant.

Spirits did lift,
While sharing gifts.

To change our world,
For boys and girls.

Who one day will,
Be faced with bills.

That we now make,
With what we take.

No end in sight,
If we don't fight.

To STOP IT NOW,
And we know how!

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
