Terror

Terror

Sifting through the memories.
It's a taste that sticks into the roof of my mouth
more like a sound of night.
I'd feel the hands reaching out of the darkness
it grips me like a hand pulling me into the pain of feeling
or not feeling at all.
The softness of the emotion.
smooth like something I know.
Blindness leads me to it.
Gripping me into the night of sodden fetishs
turmultuos fear.
Sifting through all the pain of my youth.
Bad dreams that wrap me into their arms.
Small teeth pulling at my being like demons on my soul.
The blood will spill from me and capture it all.
No music of sound.. no warning or start.
only the fear. the fear of not being.
Open me up someone will whisper
deep into my ear.
Open me and eat all the hate inside until
until
Until you scream and crawl away into what ever you are
The night holds me still like a butterfly in a jar
wings torn off just laying there
only the pain can suffice for the want.
No one wants more than me

This one is amazing. I feel what you are feeling in this one, or not feeling even.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
