The Center of all Things
Like young creepers -- snuggling close,
Like a strong gust of wind -- shaking trees
Like a faint call in the heart of things
Doubt creeping close
Like waters running to cover a surface
The stable core unshaken
Like a nest in a strong tree
Where three golden eggs shine
waiting for their birth
The naked branches of winter
reaching the frosty air
the whisper of winds between skies
the call for the mother of all things
ignoring the fathers hand
where to look, before taken back
I want to reach
Voices outside like inside
Gentle feathers so close,
And yet -- Calling but hiding
Going around yet staying still – the One
Who is answering my call -- If not himself
The bout of life on the green waves hovering
Love is better than hate,
Yet many people choose the other
Nurturing is better than taking away
Yet many do not nurture
They have not come home yet
In the center, the Hum of all
Wasps, cars, streets, mountains
Are shadows on the ground of the eternal
Let me sit on the wheel nod
From where I can see the road that is not
The horse that does not pull the car of the friend
Only me -- No other than myself
How much higher can I fly?
The clouds will mock
Then I will ask them for a ride
Like a strong gust of wind -- shaking trees
Like a faint call in the heart of things
Doubt creeping close
Like waters running to cover a surface
The stable core unshaken
Like a nest in a strong tree
Where three golden eggs shine
waiting for their birth
The naked branches of winter
reaching the frosty air
the whisper of winds between skies
the call for the mother of all things
ignoring the fathers hand
where to look, before taken back
I want to reach
Voices outside like inside
Gentle feathers so close,
And yet -- Calling but hiding
Going around yet staying still – the One
Who is answering my call -- If not himself
The bout of life on the green waves hovering
Love is better than hate,
Yet many people choose the other
Nurturing is better than taking away
Yet many do not nurture
They have not come home yet
In the center, the Hum of all
Wasps, cars, streets, mountains
Are shadows on the ground of the eternal
Let me sit on the wheel nod
From where I can see the road that is not
The horse that does not pull the car of the friend
Only me -- No other than myself
How much higher can I fly?
The clouds will mock
Then I will ask them for a ride
