The End of a War
Love or hatred, never in between.
Pointless anger, or is it envy
That runs through our bodies?
Triggering hidden brutality,
Exploding like a volcano,
To the surface.
The bloody battles are over,
Neither lost nor won.
Love for each other is restored,
Pain and suffering
Forgiven, but never forgotten.
We have grown stronger,
Mentally and physically both.
Let our war within ourselves
And each other be our life long bond,
Never to fade or disintegrate again
Pointless anger, or is it envy
That runs through our bodies?
Triggering hidden brutality,
Exploding like a volcano,
To the surface.
The bloody battles are over,
Neither lost nor won.
Love for each other is restored,
Pain and suffering
Forgiven, but never forgotten.
We have grown stronger,
Mentally and physically both.
Let our war within ourselves
And each other be our life long bond,
Never to fade or disintegrate again
