When Life Begins
Life begins after you have failed,
Failed so horribly, you are brought to the edge.
Bled so profusely, there's not much left.
Broken so badly, the pain is unscaled.
When life begins,
You have risen from the dirt,
Put the pieces back together,
And forgotten the sins.
Life has begun,
When every minute is cherished,
Every breath deep,
And the subliminal battles won.
Living your new life,
Unparalleled to any past happiness,
New knowledge, laughter and love,
All because you stepped away from the knife.
Failed so horribly, you are brought to the edge.
Bled so profusely, there's not much left.
Broken so badly, the pain is unscaled.
When life begins,
You have risen from the dirt,
Put the pieces back together,
And forgotten the sins.
Life has begun,
When every minute is cherished,
Every breath deep,
And the subliminal battles won.
Living your new life,
Unparalleled to any past happiness,
New knowledge, laughter and love,
All because you stepped away from the knife.
