The Goal

The Goal

by Paul Clark

Profundity and relevance
The quest of the intelligent mind
To leave a small indelible mark
Across the face ofall mankind

\A particle embedded deep
A nucleus per say
A ticking clock that breaks your sleep
Proclaiming a new day

\Known or not these things are given
Each one has the gift
To leave at death among the living
The things that make life shift

\Each day arrives for each to use
For the purpose they see fit
To daydream, ramble, and peruse
Or to charity submit

This is such an inspirational poem! It's indeed our purpose to achieve "The Goal". Thanks for sharing it!

Thank you blueberry

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
