Poem Commentary

In memory of a friend that passed.

Taken

Sweet of voice

Soft in countenance

A grown innocence

Taken all too young

A smile for all

A drive for the goal

A heart full of care

Silenced before life’s dusk

A want for good

A slightly awkward style

Open arms

Mind set strong

Closed no more can enter

Things remembered

Never to grow dark

The smile lives on

To light with recounting.

Thank you. It was actually easy to put the words together when I started thinking about my friend.

Awww such a sad poem about a life taken away so young i'm sure...nice write

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
