The Land of Dreams
I finish up all my work for the day,
Push my papers and books away,
Longingly, I jump into bed,
I smile at the feeling of a pillow against my head.
In just one second, it seems,
I take a visit to the land of dreams,
The marigolds and cherry blossoms are simply divine,
With flowing streams of golden sunshine.
There are sweet melodies and beautiful songs
To the bluebird they belong,
The feeling of wind swept through my hair,
Trees with fresh apples, and even pears!
This is just like paradise,
Guardian angels with glittering eyes,
Unfortunately, it is all snatched away,
When I wake up to the next day.
