What a Wonderful World
(my version of ‘What a Wonderful World’ by Louis Armstrong)
I see blankets of snow,
Bare branches too,
I see snowflakes fall,
For me and you,
And I think to myself,
“What a wonderful world!”
I see hot summer days,
The sun shining too,
Small children playing,
School starting soon,
And I think to myself,
“What a wonderful world!”
I see fluttering yellow leaves,
Barely clinging on to their life,
I see birds flying away,
Leaving us to enjoy,
The wonderful world of fall to come!
I see green poking out,
From blankets of snow,
Like sleepy little heads,
Just ready to show,
And I think to myself,
“What a wonderful world!”
