The letter to Said friend - poem afterthoughts
And now you have a poem all about you
I've before for others and mentioned you briefly
Bet you didn't know that
Bet you'll scour them now to find your presence
But this one, this one is all yours Love
Are you happy now? Do you like your poem?
Or had you thought yours would be happy?
With rhymes and stanzas and a joyous rhythm?
Had you thought that it wouldn't hold pain?
That it wouldn't be written from tears and anger
Had you truly thought that you hadn't hurt me?
Believed yourself as better than previously written about guys
So here's to you my friend,
The Guy Who Wasn't Supposed to Hurt
PS a rhyme written just for you
It's a shame, you'll never live up to your name
You, my big strong dark man
