    The Visit

It's nice to see you back again,
Please take a walk inside my pain.
Smell the flowers in my broken garden.
Watch the soil as it hardens.

Touch the roots of my dead tree.
So nice of you to visit me.
But that is not where I am now,
So come and find me, If you know how.

Look for me where rivers meet
Next to fields of clover sweet.
Where sun shines down on pretty flowers,
There I'll be, I sit for hours.

Far away from what has been,
    Separating now from then.
    Moving on, and moving far,
From a life that was torn apart.

This is an awesome, riveting take on natural disaster! Great stuff.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
