    In A Passing Moment

    Thoughts? Memories? Feelings?
    Are they even real?
I can't begin to tell you,
    just how I really feel.

These twisted things inside my head,
    Have they always been here?
Do you wonder if I'm crazy?
Do you want to run in fear?

    Someone says that it's ok,
    It's gonna be alright.
But his is not the voice
that keeps me wide awake at night.

The ones that rumble through my brain,
when I lay me down to sleep,
the ones that keep watch over me,
my soul is theirs to keep.

So have I gotten lost inside
the things she used to be?
Through the window in my mind,
    I wonder if you see.

The little girl that's laying there,
covered with her blood and tears.
And if you could see past her shame,
Could you make it past her fears?

I wish that you could understand,
I wish that you could see.
But I don't even know my self,
    Because I am not me.

This is so sad. How lonely and hurt we can become sometimes. You captured it well. Hope you're not hurting.

Just want to tell ya...This poem would not let me rate, and then it said that I gave you a 8.8. I DID NOT. I wanted to give a ten...but, sorry it wouldn't let me.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
