To whom this may concern.
I’m sick of it
Im sick of this society.
I’m sick of people feeling bad for me
I am sick of the :I’m sorry,” and the “if you ever need to talk"
Cause guess what
I don’t need it.
I don’t want it
I kno what happened to me was sick.
I kno it was wrong
And I kno it was unfair
So please don’t remind me
I kno what happened
I also kno that I lived
I kno I made it
And I made it with out your pitty
I lived with out your “support”
And I got back up
and I’m still standing
And I did it on my own
i did it with out your help.
I did it with out your talks
And I did it with out your apologies.
I’m lucky,
I can do that
I can say that
A lot of people can’t
Most of the people who have been through this
Still need help
They need to get that little push
The one that will get them to tell or get them help
And I hope that if you are one of those people
This is your push
That This helps you
Because I know what it feels like
Thinking I was the only one, I was a freak
Thinking I was dirty
But I was wrong
Look, I could throw facts and numbers out you
But I’m not gonna
I could stand here and tell you all day that
“it’s all right you can tell someone its for the better”
But I don’t wanna
Cause its up to you
And to those of you who are thinking
“God, not another rape story these are getting so old”
Get over it
Cause if you don’t open your eyes you’ll just have to keep on hearing them
And to every one who wants to turn the other cheek
I pray that you don’t
I pray that you look anyways
Because it’s hard
Its hard to think someone could do that
But they can
They don’t care how badly it hurts someone else
because they enjoy it
they like it
and as badly as it hurts
to hear someone say that
it’s the truth
so please hear me out
help someone who needs it
and stop bugging people who don’t
because even if they are easier
there are people who need your help
and people who want it.,
even if they say they don’t.
to whom this may concern
do me a favor
the next time you look around
try to see the truth
-sincerely,
Jane Doe
