Uncertainties

Unsure of what I'm doing,
I'm unsure of where and why.
Uncertain of who I am today,
Or when I want to die.
Don't know if I'll be back again,
Don't know quite where I'll be.
Confused, I thought I had a friend,
One to stand by me.
Confused on where I've really been,
On how I've spent my time.
Don't know of accomplishments Iv'e made,
Don't know why I'm alive.
Uncertain of dreams, I may once have had,
Uncertain of my lies.
Unsure of truths that have been told,
Unsure of tears I've cried.
The only thing I'm sure of now,
In this world anew,
Is today, tomorrow, forever more,
I'll be next to you.

for some reason...I get the image of you sitting in front of a piano...keying a light melody while singing this one lol. It was very nice and it took the reader on a journey that most of us know all too well. I shall grant you kudos...use them wisely :)

Nicely done on incorporating the confusion in your poem it allows the reader to be involved as well, nice job.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
