    Walk a Mile

    Sometimes life gives you lemons
    And you can't make lemonade
You can tell me your sad stories
But please don't rain on my parade
I'll always be around for you
Don't you worry 'bout a thing
So keep you chin up, smell the roses
And we'll see what tomorrow brings

Pull yourself up by the bootstraps
    Pull out all the stops
Always put your best foot forward
But don't make them call the cops
    Don't change horses midstream
    Remember, it could be worse
Don't call us, we'll call you
And Don't put your cart before the horse

    Every day's a new day
    Every tear must fall
Dry your eyes, smile that smile
I'm at your beck and call
    you're you're own worst enemy
Ghosts may come back to haunt
Dream your dreams, but lets get real
You can't always get what you want

    So Start from scratch
    Steal some thunder
Walk a mile in someones shoes
    you're no diff'rent
    We've all got problems
    Everybody sings the blues

I like the poem. "We've all got problems" and "sing the blues." This is reinforced by the sayings that are supposed to be right but don't live up to our immediate thoughts of wisdom. Sometimes we learn, sometimes we don't

It brings to mind the country song by Garth Brookes, “The Dance.” Beautifully written and a reminder that even in times of doubt and sorrow, we all share the difficulties that life brings on a daily basis: they simply may wear different facades of acknowledgement.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
