    WITHOUT YOU

The tears fall down my face
as I think of the damage that's been done
    to my soul
by the man I love the most

How could I have been so wrong
    ...it wasn't that long ago
    I honestly believed forever
    was forever

I believed in love and trust and honesty
How silly it must have seemed to you
to have thought my dreams were anything more
    than what they were...
    my distorted reality

And now I bleed into the realness of this misery
and the pain cuts so deep
    ....I just want to sleep
    forever
    But I can't
and that makes it even harder
    Functioning in a life
    that no longer makes sense

There is a blackness growing inside
    it is a welcome relief
this turning to stone...nothing left to feel
    nothing that is real anyway

    Perhaps I will drown
    in the pain
    or the nothingness
    which ever comes first
And this hurt will be gone

    or
    perhaps
    by some miracle

I will somehow learn to be strong
    without you

Very, very honest and revealing poetry. Stated simply but so directly, we all can empathise so easily with your feelings of despair and loss. Very good self-expression, I feel you have so much to give as a poet, keep on writing!

Outstanding; I really feel your pain...

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
