You Fly in Front of Me
You are, my dearwaking now
And we, your family
You were born into this night
With all the world to see
Your mother flies
As you were born
Into the sky she goes
i hold you in my arms, my love
wriggling your toes
I feed you all i have to give
i look for solemn ground
i went around the world to find
and look at what i found
Your mouth it moves
I think of mum
I think and i am sad
The sound comes out, a tear falls down
As i hear you say dad
You are, my dear,
Walking now
The first steps of your life
Looking back at footsteps lost
Rembering the strife
You are, my dear,
Growing old,
As i will fly alone
I need to let you walk again
But this time on your own
You lead your life
And spread your wings
Before you fly away
You live your life remembering
Each and every day
Until it comes
Your time to fly
And with your mothers kiss
The greatest venture we will take
Is joining those we miss
With your wings
You close your eyes
As you prepare to fly
The feeling grows up from the ground
and up into the sky
I lift you up
And you back down
In my heart i see
The world is made of love and hate
You fly in front of me
