    a stand

    trapped within a void,
    between manhood and a boy,
    who could.
    overcrowded in the middle of
    emptiness, surrounded by
    nothingness, lonely the two stood.
now i've seen a bit of the world
through the blue eyes of a blond boy, tyke.
and now, i'm only a man.
so i look through you to the universe,
for a place to voice my stand.

Tyke - You definately have a way with expressing some deep, intense subjects in so little words. I don't know how you do it. But I really admire it. Keep it up..... another great job. :) Ken

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
