    coping with composure

i can deal with the moon, it's real.
    it causes me my visions.
i can see you in my dreams,
    oh, a full on collision.
    liquorish whips and lemon drops,
    the truth remains untold.
HEY!, i don't choose the way i feel.
    (now a lie),
    i won't lose control.

Always on that edge, especially if one has fallen off in the past. The knowledge that one can fall is frightening and keeps each compartment guarded - on alert - just in case. Again - brevity is key for the impact you present licorice whips and lemon drops - the bitter with the sweet. NICE. I loved this. ~Pamela

Tyke - Something tells me you're quite able to maintain your composure. When you are awake that is. :) Sometimes however, there is no controlling the feelings we have or denying ones needs when we dream. Good job. Ken

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
