self realization

self realization

though i've walked a path of knowledge,
and soared on the wings of my imagination,
i too have spun on the wheel of hesitation.
and yes, even fallen into a hole of frustration.
knowing all along this was of my own creation;
only now aware of it being,
self realization.

Tyke - I love the 3rd line "i too have spun on the wheel of hesitation." How true ... Hesitation - is the sister of Procrastination. Both created by our own doing. Self Realization - is a great title and for so few words, captures the essence of self doubt. Great work.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
