ALONE

Oh, Such glorious breeze
Wafting fresh, through my home
I bask whilst I ponder
The Joy of alone.

The roads that I crawled down
So long I did roam
One single vision
This being alone.

The wind chimes are singing
Many birds fly as one
The water is rippling
Golden rays from the sun.

Those paths so long traveled
Are left far behind
The darkness has vanished
Such silence I find.

Breathe deep of this pleasure
This peace in my home
How I thank you, Sweet Jesus
Atlast, we're alone.

I totally understand where you're coming from here. Being alone is a fright for many but in my experience I've learned that being alone is the best way to get to know self and Yes, it certainly does bring you closer to God. I wrote one similar called Loney but Not Alone for we are never truly alone.

It is a gift from God that we can be happy being alone. It is a much greater gift when we realize we are alone so that we can spend special time with our Creator, who loves us more than any person ever could. Nice poem!

I am honored by your stopping by. Thank you.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
