Poem Commentary

If you stop and give yourself a chance , you can choose to only think and say POSITIVE words. That alone will trully change your life. I know because I am doing it.

My Eyes Choose

My eyes choose to see the sunrise
Without it's thunder cloud.
I see the promise, instead of the cries
I refuse to be proud.

My eyes choose to find beauty
Instead of the loss all around me
There is one way to be free
It's by choosing what you see.

My eyes choose to love nature
I remain grateful for the beauty I find
Knowing it will always surpass my stature
Every time I look out the door of my mind.

Ofcourse, you can choose to speak
Myriad points on loss
But does it bring you what you seek?
When all was gained on the Cross.

My eyes choose to fly free
To bask in the Joy of each scene
This side of the fence, I see
The grass is a beautiful green.

My eyes choose to see the Love
Quickly closed to evil's lies
Because we alone can choose
What we believe with our eyes.

This is absolutely stunning and so very true. It's a choice and our outlooks on life determine out outcomes. Such a wonderful piece!! "There is one way to be free It's by choosing what you see." This is my favorite line. Well written.

Eloquent wisdom to choose the best of life: to choose Life! The Lord of life gives us that choice several times each day: a path to walk wisely as he promises a plan to give us an inheritance in Him, which is imperishable. You are quite a discovery for me: very refreshing! Thanks for sharing! Applause building!

Thank you , Marie, for your kind words. And just as positive brings positive, so negative.............

Poetry comes nearer to vital truth than history.
