    ANGEL IN DISGUISE

    I got to know you

    In a not-so-good start

    Thinking that you’ll do

    Break the friendship apart

    Keeping these things in mind

Caused real pain in my heart

    Anger, revenge entwined

    Distance keeps us apart

    Another night has come

    Hoping you are not there

    Thus, everything seems calm

    The laughter’s here and there

    Then suddenly you showed up

I thought you are someone new

    Revelation makes me stop

Coz you’re that someone I knew

    Can’t imagine, this will happen

That you’re a person, oh so true

    A friendship I don’t know ‘til when

But I hope that we will go through

    There you are proving yourself

And helped me with what I need

Amazed with such kind of help

    Full of surprises indeed

The day has come to meet you

Not knowing the name, the face

Afraid to be judged by you

Hope not to be out of place

    And I’m all very wrong

    You’re so very gentle

Your voice is like a song

    With face of an angel

This, I think, is my day

    The so called 09/09/09

    And hoping that someday

I’ll love and call you mine

I hope that you’ll not stop me

And admire you with all my heart

Though friends, I want us both to be

To be best like a work of art

    You really are a surprise

Coz you’re more than I expected

    You’re an angel in disguise

    Deserve to be loved, respected

So I think I’m right on this

That I’m falling in love with

    An angel in disguise

    A blessing to be with

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
