As I Guard From the Gates...
As I Guard From the Gates...
As I guard from the gates of my disparity with ease,
Disbelieving at each that cast light here to please,
Though observing the idiocy of the dim things they play,
The voice that draws closer to possess you they say,
Amused I take stance, arms crossed, holding tight,
For they cannot get through, the surface to bright,
The thickness of flesh and disbelieving to be,
What's beyond its appearance of what they might see,
Ascending the ladder as if ranking in pace,
Anticipating the look until I just laugh in there face,
“Played a fool” looks imprudent on egos to mend,
While I stand supremely, shoving you down once again.
