    Poem Commentary

    A poem about moving forward with a renewed hope. And trying to be true to yourself. Remember where you have come from but try and believe in what you want to become.

    Better

    I want to be good

    I want to be dedicated to what is in my heart

    I want to move forward with new experiences

    I want to know that I’ve done my best

    I want to make sure that I give this my all and nothing less

     

    I want to be humble

    I want to stay true to who I am

    I want to move forward with things I have learned in hand

    I want to know that we are all wrong even when not at fault

    I want to make sure that this wasn’t my love’s last curtain call

     

    I want to be peaceful

    I wanted to be able to save a life

    I want to move forward but and not forget

    I wanted to know that by praying for the word, “over” I wasn’t selfish

    I want to make sure that when this was done I wouldn’t regret

     

    I want to be grounded

    I want to stand up for what I believe in

    I want to move forward to better myself

    I want to know that I can stay true

    I want to make sure that honesty can be my greatest virtue
