    Breathing Room

    They never talk
    so how do you suppose
    they could possibly know
    every idiosyncrasy
    from moments of clarity
    to downright lunacy?

    Trying to hold conversations
    is akin to pulling teeth
    No new revelations
    will surface at all this week
    windows are locked
    draped with blankets
    blocking out all the sounds
    going another round
    riding out this storm
    that's bringing me down

    She said you looked great
    after all these years
    But you are filled with rage
    too riled up for tears
    watching a close knit family
    crumble apart with each reveal
    wishing I could say that I don't feel
    no breathing room
    as the air has gone stale
    a promise made has ultimately failed

    Now my single friends are all attached
    remembering the past
    clutching a half empty glass
    wondering where do I go?
    hoping these mood swings won't last
    this freewill is surely sinking fast

    what i really like about your work i the edgy darkness... there is always a level or grim reality attached to writings... and i really dig that... this peiece drips with sombre emotions... once again nicely done... i really wish more people would pay attention to your work... it seems no one ever comments and its a shame
