Dance
Don't hold it in
lash out at the world
pound that keyboard
poison oozes from each word
Off goes this shirt
hands graze this skin
a mirror silently reflects
a crazy narcissistic stare
Feeling this incredible drive
an insatiable need to be alive
downing vodka to dance
numbing senses, tearing down fences
Scratching at the walls of my own design
no more idols now
these personal heroes of mine
are obsolete and benign
I am alone
given up on the phone
the fakers and insincerity
always raining down on me
This dating pool is a quagmire
too many drugs and implants
pumped egos and shaved chests,
give it a rest
Should be wrapped in wondrous mystique
instead these hyper masculine types
who are complete irrational freaks,
and so begins another week
