Crossroad

Crossroad

I stand before a crossroad,
Trying to bear the weight of this load.

There seems no end to this sorrow I feel,
By choosing my path our fate I will seal.

I've begged for guidance but no answers seem to come from above.
All I can see is the brokenness of this love.

I've stood at this crossroad for many a day,
Yet still there is  no light to guide me on my way.

So once more as dusk starts to fall,
I'll stand here and pray for an answer to it all.

I have posted the song/pem I referred to when I left my comment on July 31st. If you get a chance to read it, I hope it helps.

This reminds me of a song I wrote called "Crossroads", maybe soon I'll post the words on this website, be it enough for me to say that "on bended knee" we can find the way we should go. The best of luck to you in your crossroad of life.

I think it's a good poem. Maybe if you said more about what your crossroad or dilemna is I probably could have really connected to it. But the poem is good.

I like this alot, but after reading your other poems you seem to be in a bit of a rut.

How do you mean? I write what comes to me. I don't plan them and I don't write as often as I would like.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
