Guiding Light

Guiding Light

Light Divine,
Shines within this heart of mine,

Lighting me, always in its wake,
Guiding me, along this journey I must take.

Leading me along my way,
Protecting me in darkness, like the light of day.

It guides me to my Holy Task,
Answering all the questions, this fleeting body, might ask.

Showing me with eternal love,
My quest from the Lord above.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
