    Lonely Road

I’m walking along a lonely road
To much pain for one body to hold

Watching as the memories float by
Watching as an old love dies

Seeing all the things I’ve done
Regretting some of the battles I’ve won

Feeling the pain of past mistakes
Watching as it flows into heartache

This path is mine and mine alone
This is my path written in stone

I know every turn and every bump
I can recognize every chasim I’ve had to jump

I see the road stretch ahead into the black
I know not where I go, but I know I can’t go back

very well written....takes you there into imagination...yet also throws forward nto future aspects..nice transitions that flowed

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.
