    Deception

A sense of desperation comes over me, a million thoughts race thru my mind.
My mouth gets dry, can't catch my breath, my eyes do not deceive me.
My knees get weak, can barely walk; just one more step I tell myself.
Just one more step that's all I need; my mind wont respond for my heart feels weak.
Just one more step that's all I need; I must walk tall & proud you must not see.
Just one more step and I'll be there; to get away that's all I need.
I wont look back, I walk so proud the tears roll down my cheeks.
I wont look back I promise you, oh no you wont see me this weak.
A sense of loss comes over me, I've lost myself in what I've seen.
My mouth wont speak, my heart will cry; will walk away so tall so proud.

You have such strength. I do not know how you can just walk away from something and not want to pummel the pain. Keep on writing, it's medicine for the soul.

Alot of times strength comes from pain, thank you for your words..feels like someone listens outhere.

Understand completely having to walk away and not look back, not to suffer through any more pain nor allow yourself to hurt in that way again. sad yet it must be done to remain and have your composure

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.
