    Who Ever You Are

I sit here and wait for the moment when you will come into my life. I can see how far away you are.

Have you lost me in the darkness of this world?

Have you not been looking for me too?

How do you not feel the need, the need of my touch?

The need to feel me, to hold me in your arms.

Can you not see me in the emptiness?

I have seen how my life would be without you for too long, it is only sad and oblique.

    When will you find me?

My mind and heart grow tired of searching.

How much longer must I wait? When will you come to me whoever you are?

To walk along by your side, that is what I long for.

Sometimes I think I passed you by on the side of the road.

Did I see you in the crowd and missed you?

Where is that point where our lives will meet?

I miss you and don’t know you, love you and yet have not met you.

Are you everything I am looking for?

Will you make me cry, or cry with me?

Will you love my smile, or make me laugh?

Maybe you have just floated by in a dream.

Will you wake me from this nightmare of you?

I loose my breath in desperation and anticipation of you, Whoever you are.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.
