    Poem Commentary

    This is about not being able to get ride of a feeling, or pain, or a person in your life. I thought of this while I was trying to scrub some dirt off the wall in my house. The dirt wouldnt come off and it made me think of how the dirt is just like my feelings for a special guy in my life(broke up but now friends). Im having such a hard time just being friends with him. I just cant make my feelings for him go away.

    Dirt In The Wall

    I cant wash these walls clean,
    The dirts all caked in,
    Theres no breaking it you see,
    No way its sunk in,
    Apart of the wall now,
    A piece of the paint,

    I scrub and I scrub,
    But I cant get it off,
    My hand scratches the dirt,
    I bleed, its so rough,
    So i just give up,
    Its here to stay,

    I could always paint over it,
    It may take a few coats,
    So I paint and I paint,
    But still theres a huge lump,
    Go away it just wont,

    I cant make this go away,
    It will always be there,
    I hope nobody will notice,
    I hope nobody will care,

    But if they do notice,
    If they can see past the paint,
    I will have to tell this story,
    About the dirt in the wall.

    I like how you are just talking about dirt on a wall but so true of how it resembles life and how some poeple can see past the paint or mask we wear,
