Distorted Reflections

Distorted Reflections

You hide behind a mirror

Wish you could only see what we all can see

You hide behind a web of lies

Wish you could only be free and feel what we can feel

How can you throw hard words?

And expect us to grow soft

How can you show us hate?

And believe you when you use the word “Love”?

Making us question ourselves

Making us a prison in your own insecurities

Sharing your guilt and your pain

Instead of love and encouragement

How can you be a mother?

And expect us to take care of you?

How can we learn to love ourselves?

When you only taught us to love you

And only you?

APPATHY IS AN EMOTION NO ONE SHOULD HAVE TO DEAL WITH FROM A LOVED ONE......ITS SO HURTFULL AND DAMAGING TO THE SOUL...THANKS FOR SHARING

To have great poets there must be great audiences too.
