    Fairy Tale

    Hands behind my head
I lay with my heart and eyes
    all facing heaven.

    I contemplated then like now

    how ready I felt.

    Everything looked just-washed

    new even, bright to sight,
    yet something was amiss.

    I weeped heavily when sorrow,

    like a reckless driver,
    came barrelling into me.

But that was all so long past,

at least in my head its so.
tho' in depth I trully know.

    Nonethless,

As the most severe of cuts do,
    It healed. Me too.

Alas, this is why I am able to

    Lay,
    hands behind head,
    with heart and eyes
    facing all of heaven.

    It is a feeling, unfathomable,

    to even me.
    A kind of freedom,
    that fairytales are made of.

I wish to take it all in,

    and to
    share it all,
    all at once.

    Dawn and Twilight may come,

with the aim of snatching peace,
    all away from me.

    Let them come,

    I will fight.
For all of heaven to remain mine,
at least for just more than a little while.

I remember when I was little, I would gaze up into the heavens, and a peace did come over me that was magical, thanks for reminding me of such wonderful thoughts, very nice, and sweet poem. I must take the time to do it more often.
