struck by lightening

    struck by lightening

    with back-hunched at drawing board
thoughts afloat yet to be stored,
I come apart piece by part
not at all sly or smart.

    depression beats a steady drum
    head, throbbing, whispers a hum.
    defeat is welcomed, by me
handing a ticket to be free.

    Anger, married to hate, appears
    no logic, glares silent stares.
    unborn shame, already-wet eyes
    own 2 a body which i despise.

    promises covered in sheer fabric
    broad smiles oddly spasmic.
    golden blues mad and frightening
all dead, all still yet struck by lightening.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
