    fire and photographs

    I wish that I could explain

    why fire is so mesmerizing

    photographs are that way to me

    of myself and others

    in this millisecond capture of time

    I am drawn into the who we are

    and the why

    sometimes a mistake

    makes a more compelling picture

    inadvertently probing

    a blurry essence of ourselves

    that in some ways

    is a clearer picture

    of who we are

    taking away some of our

    imperfections by it’s own imperfection

    allowing us perhaps a more thoughtful look

    at our soul

    then again some may say, bad picture

    toss it

    under thinking has never been one of my weak points

    i have been by the campfire and sloved my problems and made a few problems lol. I think you are right it makes us look deep at ourselves . Great poem Marie
