    Happy Birthday My Angel!

My babygirl was given to me
to help me deal with all my pain.
God knew how special she would be
Out of all my sorrow she kept me sane!

    Things were going all wrong,
Then out of the blue I found out
And I felt like singing a song,
God was good I had no doubt!

All my troubles would be gone,
God had sent me a angel to help me.
My sorrows would all be done!
For he gave me life don't you see?

When I thought all was very bad,
I found out life was still great!
I was so lost and so very sad,
But God gave me love instead of hate!

Thank you God for this great gift,
You took all the bad and made it good!
From all the sadness my heart you did lift,
You gave me life like you said you would!

Thank you God for my sweet angel Elizabeth,
I named her after another angel you see,
She is as sweet as her Grandma Emmy Elizabeth,
With this gift you gave me so much to me!

All my children are special gifts to me,
I thank you God for each and every one!
But with my angel you gave my life back you see,
And through her I found my life was not done!

And now that she is at the age of seventeen,
I am very proud of my angel don't you see?
But does she know just how much she does mean,
And that she will always be such a great gift to me?

Happy Birthday my sweet angel that I am so proud of!
God gave me a special and great gift to me on that day!
You have turned out so beautiful and sweet as a dove!
So now I thank you Elizabeth, for making me proud on this day!

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.
