    What Now God?

    RECEIVED DIVORCE PAPERS TODAY!


    Now what God?


    So where does my life go now?
    The love of my life is forever gone,
    To start over I don't know how.
    I think of him from dusk till dawn!

    I want to hate him but I still love him!
    Please dear God, take this pain away,
    For now my life is just dark and dim!
    And I just can't take any more today!

    I must ask myself, why did I meet Elias?
    We were so happy and so much in love,
    So why does he need to be free from us?
    I once thought we fit just like a glove!

    I have started my life over so many times,
    But when we met I thought that was done.
    It didn't matter if we had nickels and dimes,
    For me it was great for his love I won!

    Please tell me Lord, where do I go from here?
    How do I stop needing and loving him today?
    Can I forget the love of my life I hold so dear?
    If that is your will, give me strength to walk away!

    I think you have a good poem here and I have totally been where you are. I think you might consider tweaking the line that ends in dove. It seems a bit forced as if the line were put there because of the end rhyme. At any rate, happy writing- Sam

    Yes I know! God is good! I just don't know that I want any more doors open! But I have my kids and God, and I think that is enough!

    nicely written..I know what it's like to lose a love.. I am afraid I might be getting a divorce sometime... if you would like you can read some of my poems and let me know what you think...

    Thanks! I really do understand that divorce is very hard! I hope you don't have to experience it! Ask God for help either way to get through all life's troubles!I wish you the best!
