    Dear Lord

    IN HONOR MY MOM- POEM WRITTEN BY LAURA PEREZ-7-8-08 Also written in mind of of all the people that I have had the pleasure of having in my life and loving them! Thank you God for that priveledge and gift!

    DEAR LORD,
    This is a letter to you Lord,
    please don't look at it and be bored.
    I have tried so very hard in my life,
    to not dwell on all my pain and strife.

    I need your approval so very bad,
    but in my struggles I felt I have never had.
    I just wonder if through all my pains and tears,
    will I ever overcome my biggest fears?

    Will I ever be good enough for my mom and you?
    Tell me dear God, what can I do?
    Sometimes life just seems to be too much,
    With all the mistakes I make and such!

    At the end of each and every day,
    I would like to be able to say;
    that I helped at least one person today!
    So my brother, can I help you in any way?

    I really and truly must confess,
    that with my life always such a mess;
    how can I be there for others,
    and help all my sisters and brothers?

    So here I am, my dear Lord, on my knees,
    I am begging you please;
    help me to be there for someone today,
    As you are there for me each and every day!

    A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.
