Head up high
Sometimes I keep my head up high,
even though I want to cry.
If you look into my eyes , you will see it's not a lye.
I've been holding on to hurt for so so long,
hoping if I hold it no one can do me wrong.
I keep my guards up and my feelings to myself,
because every time they're down I feel pain by myself.
I'm telling you the truth, I've been thrown to the cold,
fell through ice, been on som rocky roads.
Sometimes I keep my head up high so no one can tell I'm broken.
My heart is protected not out in the open.
But LORD knows how much I want to cry,
so much pain burning inside.
Sometimes I keep my head up high,
then some how I stumble on pride.
And nothing is left but all of me.
Is there anyone who love me like me?
even though I want to cry.
