Hidden Talents vs. Feets on Necks
Ever felt like a failure?
That everything you'd touch
would be destroyed
That the mere thought os something
would kill you from being
Anything--
That said training your thought
process for a destiny
Ever been turned out by life?
Wanting to do something evident
And your peers never thought
it could be
Like having a prosperous outcome
Not feeling as though you were dumb
Ever had the good sense to just be?
And because of life, you just couldn't see
The many turns you could take
Because in the end, all else is fake
Ever wonder what curves life could
throw you?
And what you would become in life
Whether you could amount to anything
or actually live it right
Had you ever felt like a failure?
When the odds were totally against you
And the people never give real to you
Pondering what can you ever do
just to feel sad, lonely, and confused
Ever felt like making it to higher goals?
Being one of the greats--
Something a black man is never told
Living with gifts until you are old
Not ever appling yourself
Because you were not ever bold
That everything you'd touch
would be destroyed
That the mere thought os something
would kill you from being
Anything--
That said training your thought
process for a destiny
Ever been turned out by life?
Wanting to do something evident
And your peers never thought

Like having a prosperous outcome
Not feeling as though you were dumb
