Homey

Homey

Aint got no homeys,

don't need no phoneys,

don't need a bro...

or twisted sister too...

Mixed in a world,

trying to be...

so fancy and cool,

thinking young...

but youth don't rule...

Time will come,

life will go...

so much waiting,

that you can't see...

Do your fancy talk,

watch your feet,

in each step you take,

the life you walk...

is filled with mistakes...

Time will come,

you look back...

thinking and feeling,

what a fool I am...

Time will come,

there are no homeys...

just you a lone...

feeling lost and lonely...

I say this in truth,

I stand alone...

my life is proof...

Sadness I feel,

but happy as can be...

I was lost...

but found the real me....

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
