    Like A Mushroom

    Like a mushroom,

    growing in the dark...

    never seeing light...

    growing thru the night,

    waking to a new sunlight...

    waking to a new dawn...

    Facing new fears,

    fears that I own...

    Lost in the dark,

    facing a new day,

    chasing all I do...

    with an empty heart...

    Always the last to know,

    always the first to go...

    When the day breaks,

    dew on the ground...

    hiding in the grass,

    is where I'll be found...

    Like a mushroom,

    hiding in the shadows...

    the moon, the stars,

    were did they go...

    The night went by,

    way to fast...

    my time of growing,

    seems it didn't last...

    No toads, no frogs,

    no princess to kiss me...

    Like a mushroom,

    sleeping in the night...

    dreaming and growing,

    without anyone knowing...

    waiting to hold...

    waiting to feed...

    the love in the shadows,

    waiting to feed the love...

feed the love in my soul...

sometimes being alone is good - sounds like you don't like it - but it gives us your writings

Alone can be good..and it can be bad. I do live alone but I'm never really alone even tho sometimes I forget. I'm a Born Again Christain and I know my Father is always with me even tho I can't see Him. The hardest part for me is when my sons have to leave after spending the weekend with me. I've been single several years and have not pursued dating, don't have time...I spend all my time off from work with my sons. I love those boys and time with them now is time I could never go back and reclaim. The writing, I aint a poet or writer, I just put feelings on paper because it helps me deal with pains and stuff, it really is a great emotional outlet!

O, this is infinitely sad...I don't like to think someone is feeling all this loneliness. I hope it's just a good write. Take care honey...big hugs from me.

I'm not sad, I do get lonely sometimes. A lot of it is because I work nights and don't see a lot of daylight. I do appreciate your hugs! But just want ya to know I really am great! Thanks for your caring comments, they are greatly appreciated!

Thanks Rhymer. Just putting stuff on paper seems to have a way of feeding and healing soul...
